Students, teachers, PKK cadres, and residents of Thousand Islands received cultural arts coaching organized by the Thousand Islands Cultural Sub-Department. This activity took place at the Tidung Ceria Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands, on Tuesday (12/9/2023).

Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi appreciated the cultural arts coaching activity. According to him, the training was attended by students, teachers, PKK cadres, and residents of Thousand Islands.

"We appreciate this activity, in the future we hope it can be sustainable so that the Thousand Islands has an icon, namely Gobang Seribu batik. Activities like this are very supportive, because with this batik training it can improve the economy of residents," said Regent Junaedi on Tuesday (12/9/2023) in his statement obtained by POSKOTA.CO.

According to Junaedi, we will explore the batik concept later because we have a marine habitat. In addition to how to make batik, we will look for ways to market Gobang Seribu batik through Dekranasda to the public.

In addition to batik, Junaedi said, there is also pencak silat training at the location, which can later be completed at the city and provincial levels. We want the results of this activity also to be displayed at the 22nd Anniversary of the Thousand Islands Regency in November 2023.

"There is also theater training, so the island community is not left behind with the same skills as on land, and we need to foster this creativity, and socialize it to all communities," he concluded.
