North Jakarta Cultural Sub-Department Presents Kampung Kandang Cultural Festival

NORTH JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Cultural Sub-department held the Kampung Kandang Cultural Festival in RW 04, West Semper Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta, on Sunday (11/26). The event was attended by the Head of the North Jakarta Administrative City Cultural Sub-Department, Cucu Rita Sary, representatives from the West Semper village, namely Mr Joce Rizal, Cilincing Police, Satpol PP, Kampung Kandang Community and Silat College in Cilincing.

The cultural festival was hosted by two MCs, Dul Kenari and Mpok Tane. Dul Kenari is one of the Betawi artists known for his funny and entertaining stage act, while Mpok Tane is one of the Betawi artists known for her melodious voice.

Head of the Kampung Kandang Cultural Festival Committee, Akhyar, hoped that the North Jakarta Cultural Agency would continue to support the arts in Kampung Kandang, primarily supporting the preservation of the Astrabi Group, which is recognized internationally.

"We hope the North Jakarta Cultural Sub-department will continue to support the arts in Kampung Kandang," said Akhyar Sunday (11/26).

In her speech, the Head of the North Jakarta Culture Sub-department, Cucu Rita Sary, said the collaboration with Silat College and Kampung Kandang Community is one of the manifestations and reflections of Law Number 5 Year 2017 on Cultural Promotion, in which the North Jakarta Culture Sub-department is obliged to preserve, foster and develop the potential of cultural arts in the local area.

"Through this festival, we hope that people can get to know and love their own culture more because in Kampung Kandang, there is not only one community and many other cultural arts that must be raised, and we will support the arts here," said Cucu Rita Sary.

The cultural festival was filled with various activities, including dance performances, music, pencak silat, gambang kromong, orkes melayu, etc. In addition, a culinary bazaar and handicrafts typical of Kampung Kandang were also held.

Festival participants came from various backgrounds, ranging from children teenagers, to adults. They seemed enthusiastic about participating in the multiple activities held.

One of the participants, Aini, said the festival was exciting. According to her, this event provides an excellent opportunity to get to know the culture of Kampung Kandang.

"I am pleased to be able to join this festival. I know many things about the culture of Kampung Kandang," said Aini.
