Two Hundred North Jakarta Students Join Historic and Cultural Object Visits

A total of two hundred high school students in North Jakarta participated in the mandatory visit to historical and cultural objects in 2023.

The participants were invited to visit the Joang '45 Museum, Jakarta History Museum, and Maritime Museum.

Head of the North Jakarta Culture Sub-Department, Cucu Rita Sari, explained that the two hundred students who participated in this activity came from twelve schools in North Jakarta.

Not only students; this activity will be followed by a hundred people on the next day, Wednesday (10/11).

"Today, two hundred students, and tomorrow, one hundred general public, including students," said Cucu Rita Sari.

The Compulsory Visit of Historical and Cultural Objects Year 2023 activity was released directly by North Jakarta City Secretary Abdul Khalit, at the East Plaza of the North Jakarta Mayor's Office on Tuesday (10/10).

"This visit is a form of cultural literacy for students so they don't forget our history and culture," he expressed.

He hoped students who participated in this visit could understand the historical process that gave birth to a new civilization for each era. That way, students can apply creative ways of thinking to deliver advanced civilizations in the future.

"We hope students can create inspiring ideas and creativity so that they can attract the attention of other young people to love historical objects in Jakarta," he stated.
