Teater Besar Taman Ismail Marzuki Building
Teater Besar and Teater Kecil are an inseparable part of the performing arts and performance space facilities in the Taman Ismail Marzuki complex or TIM. In addition to exhibition halls, galleries, archive buildings, Jakarta planetarium, fine arts universities, roles, films, or IKJ. The complex was built by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Ali Sadikin and inaugurated on November 10, 1968. The complex, built on ββ9 hectares, was originally an area of ββthe Jakarta Zoo and Raden Saleh's public recreation park. However, because it was deemed inadequate, they relocated the location of the Jakarta Zoo to Ragunan. The naming of TIM is to immortalize the composer and national hero, Ismail Marzuki.
Specifically, the Teater Besar Taman Ismail Marzuki Building (TIM) is a Performance Building for large-scale cultural arts activities. The facilities in this building include 1,200 audience chairs (3 floors), Stage 14m x 16m x 9m, VIP Room, Makeup Room, Sound System and Lighting System, and Lobby Area.
