The establishment of PPSB Kisam Dji'un aims to preserve, develop and utilize the potential of cultural arts that grows and set in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and is intended for the community, and arts organizations to channel artistic and cultural activities and creativity. Initially, the infrastructure building was named PPSB East Jakarta. Then, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan changed his name to PPSB Kisam Dji'un on 27 June 2022.
