Demang Shirt

Demang, or the other term suit is a Jakarta traditional clothing typical of Betawi for men to wear.

Demang clothes are usually combined with wearing a serong tip cloth or a cloth with a length, not up to the knee, which is formed obliquely or obliquely.

Betawi and Jakarta men usually wear it to attend official events such as weddings, state events, and so on.

The demang shirt in the form of a suit or ‘beskap’ is generally worn complete with a ‘peci’ for headdress.

This is a siding cloth for the top layer of trousers, and the black trousers are the same color as the beskap.

In pairs, the women wear an encim kebaya that matches the color of the demang's clothes.
