There are many varieties of silat martial arts from the Betawi culture. One of them is the Bongkot martial arts.

Etymologically, bongkot comes from the mention of the Betawi people on the lower part of the tree trunk.

This silat emphasizes the power of punches. At first, this silat was introduced by Kasim and Nausin in Kampung Dukuh, Kramat Jati.

Ki Nausin had a student, Ki Amat, who also entrusted this principle to Kongaji Buasyim. Ki Kasim has famous students, including Sabeni, Jemih, Nahali, and Hasan.

The Bongkot Cross Pencak, aka Bongkot Punch Game, triumphed in the 50-the 60s in Kramat Jati and its surroundings, such as Pasar Rebo, Kampung Makassar, parts of Condet, and Cililitan.

Playing Bongkot punch has the general characteristic of a low stance; the weight is placed on the body of the left leg as a ‘pancer’ (center), and the right foot moves around.

There are three steps: Step Five, Step Four, and Step Three.

His trademark, the mainstay of this game, is the arm's besetan base, which uses the term Godot.
