This Betawi traditional game or sport is almost similar to the modern sport of Base Ball. However, the history of how it was formed and who popularized it among the Betawi people is not known. The kasti Betawi game requires two tools, namely the bat and the baseball itself. This game is usually played by two teams or groups of boys, one team contains 6 people.

One team plays as a ball thrower and guards the poles that have been marked, the other team as the batting team. To determine who is the batting or throwing team, a lottery is usually carried out using coins.

While playing, the throwing team must throw the ball to the bat. If the ball is hit well even out of reach of the throwing team, then the batsman can run as freely as possible through the pole guarded by the throwing players until he returns to his original place (base).

However, if the ball hit is weak, even the ball can be reached by the throwing team, then the batsman must quickly run through the poles to return to the base so as not to be thrown by the ball. If the bat is hit by the ball, then the team is considered lost and the one who gets points is the team that throws the ball and the team changes roles to the opposite.
