Hikayat Nabi Bercukur is a biography of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This manuscript has various versions, starting from the Acehnese, Bugis and Malay languages. For the Malay version, it was copied by Muhammad Bakir, whose manuscript is incorporated in the Hikayat Manuscript of Syekh Abdul Kadir Jaelani. Muhammad Bakir finished copying it on February 10, 1893.
In short, the Hikayat Nabi Bercukur tells the story of the Prophet Muhammad SAW being shaved by the angel Jibril on the orders of Allah SWT. Prophet Muhammad shaved after returning from the war against King Luhud on Monday, nineteen days in the month of Ramadan.
In the text it is also written when with the permission of the Prophet Muhammad, the angel Jibril came to Allah asking about the hat to be used after the Prophet Muhammad shaved. When shaved, the Prophet's hair was greeted by an angel so that it would not fall to the earth. Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad used a skullcap from a green tuba leaf that Jibril took in heaven.
In the text of the Hikayat Nabi Bercukur there is an illustration in the form of a flower stalk with two blooming buds and two buds on it. This picture is flanked by two circles and is framed by a series of semicircular shapes along the left, right and bottom.
