Gundu Lobang: An Anti-Bored Game that Trains Patience and Aiming Agility

The gundu lobang game or marbles is a traditional game for Betawi children played in their spare time, filling the time and getting rid of boredom. Usually played by boys aged 6-11 years. In this game each player must have certain skills and strategic abilities to collect scores as quickly as possible, and prevent opponents from doing the same.

The shape of the marble is round and played by flicking. Every child playing with the marble must estimate the distance to which he can flick the marble and hit the target of touching the other.

In practice, this game only requires a relatively flat piece of land as a game arena. Then make a hole about 2 cm in diameter and 2 cm deep. This hole is made so that the marbles can roll in.

To open the game, a line is made about 4 or 3 meters from the hole. First everyone must pave a marble or gacoan respective references from the line, so that each one can stop as close as possible to the hole or even into the hole.

Who can place the gacoan closest to the hole is the participant who gets the first turn. Then each player takes aim at his gacoan. Scores are won if the player manages to correctly target his tack and approach the line that has been drawn from the beginning.

The principle of the game gundu lobang is a match to get one by one until it reaches a certain final number (game points). Of the total number of participants, only one was declared the loser, who was the last and had not yet collected a score.
